The Film Was Never Planned This Way: Paresh Rawal

Paresh Rawal has claimed that the original idea for OMG 2 was his and that the film changed after Akshay Kumar joined the project.

In a recent interview he said he developed the true story with director Amit Rai and sexologist Dr. Prakash Kothari aiming to make it educational and entertaining without fail.

According to Paresh the original story focused on a father fighting for justice after his son’s private video went viral and did not feature a God like character or begin as an OMG sequel.

He said Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan were first considered for an important role before Akshay came on the board.

Rawal also claimed he was not credited for the original concept. Akshay Kumar and the filmmakers have not yet responded to these claims.
